Snowbirds!!
It was snowing when we got up this morning...
It took my husband 45 minutes to get to work this morning, usually takes 10 minutes...
By noon it was melting enough to make the roads safer to drive on, but if it goes back to 32 at dark they will become icy surfaces.
This bird is in my back flowerbeds. He is a weatherbird.

I lived in snow country for 20 years--it does have its beauty.
I see you like Wachman Nee. I read his books a lot in my 30's. He sure helped me get started.

not missing the snow in PA at all now that I'm in Hippieville. Never did like the stuff
Love your snowbird! Be extra careful out there ~ ilym
I don't know where you live but we get our share of the white stuff here in western NY. Be careful out there
@ANVRSADDAY - I do like Watchman Nee, his stuff is so beautifully basic!!
@TommyCrowwithWhiteFeathers - It's nice to be in CA with the sun....
@mlbncsga - Thanks!! LY2
@dingdongdingbat - I was very careful driving to bible study today. The roads were pretty good by noon tho and I'm home now. Thanks!
It's 80 in Tampa and I'm feeling fine. But traffic always sucks here.
ugh yeah that icy stuff is so much worse than snow, imo.
cute birdie!
Very neat photo. I had to look hard to actually see the bird. It was well hidden. Hope you stay safe, cozy and warm!
Love your weatherbird -- does it do anything besides collect snow to predict the weather?
We have "Snowbirds" here in Florida. They drive in from all over the country and stay for the winter!
Like your bird better, I bet he doesn't congest traffic the way our Snowbirds do!
Beware of black ice,,,thaw then freeze usually means black ice. It's deadly.
By the way, you have more snow than we do here in Canada!
We've had some wintery stuff my way too. Suppose to ice tonight. I'm hoping it'll be gone by Thursday when I actually have to drive a spell.
Love your bird. You've got more snow than Chicago, isn't that crazy?
@songoftheheart - It is, isn't it?
Be all gone by tomorrow I guess...
@LadyofWaters - drive safe!
@Bricker59 - That's pretty amazing!! I won't be going out again until the temps warm up a little. thanks!
@slmret - @crankycaregiver - Thanks!! I like that bird too. A friend made him for us! he predicts rain too...
love the pic and love snow. It's suppose to snow some here (but it'll be gone if it does almost as soona s it hits) Nonetheless, I'm hoping for it.
wow!
