I picked a basket of red jalepeno peppers.... there are 20 that I can count.... that's two tens
I liked these peppers because they made my friend Connie very happy.... <3
I also like pears..... each one of these flowers had the chance to become pears. Ten flowers = Ten Pears!!
Ten Pears = yummy pear sauce.

I'm back...
Vacation was wonderful.... the beach...family....friends....rainforrest...!!!
Soooo you want to see??
We went to the beach in October and the first day was gray and rainy...
After that it was gorgeous... in the 70-80's and mostly sunny...
That was a sunrise, I don't think I got any sunsets at all. But the sun was really beautiful.
One of my daughters brought me this "heart"...she's so sweet!
We took one of the days to go to the Moody Gardens and they have a rainforrest where you can walk through and see animals, plants and butterflies...
This one is a closeup of the butterfly wings... hold on, before you move I want another wing pic....
Well, I guess I was too late.
It was a great tour and I enjoyed using my camera on it. We went with friends and some of them had little children who really enjoyed the animals. Here is one of the family groups:

So I have always been a little awkward taking pictures with my iPhone.... I have finally found a way for my phone camera to be taken seriously! lol
Two little attachments are going to make a world of difference. One is a grip/firing button and the other is a three in one lens that goes on top of the phone's lens.
After all, it doesn't do much good to be able to take HDR pics from your phone if you can't hold the camera still enough to focus sharply. I was averaging about 50% focused pics so every four pictures I took, two would be focused. But with this new grip all that is changed! **happy dance**
The grip slides onto the right side of the phone and has a usb pin that fits into the charging port on the bottom of the phone. It fits around the slim case that I have on most often or you can take the cover off and use it like I have it in the pictures. With the pin in the slot you can run an app made by Belkin that allows the phone to fire using the red button on the grip. Very nice to have a hot button!!! The black button is for stills and will do rapid/continuous firing if you hold it down. The red dot is for video... push once to start and again to stop. I very rarely use video on my phone, but it's nice that the option is there. The grip feels very balanced and secure. The whole camera turns as a single unit and feels good in the hand. The grip also has a tripod screw mount on the bottom so now the camera/phone can be mounted for a timer shot. So Useful!!!
The 3in1 lens just slides onto the corner of the iPhone that has the lens. One side is a Fisheye lens that really makes the "bubble" show up and gets a wide shot at once. Good for special effects. The other side is a closer in lens and if you screw that off all of a sudden you have a wonderful Macro lens for extreme closeups!! I LOVE MACRO SHOTS!!!! I will probably use that lens more than anything else for special effects and for posting things that are small or detailed.
All in all, I am excited to have these attachments and I just happen to be visiting the beach soon... so maybe I will have some special photos to show you later!.

When I was a new mom of twins, I had a LOT of sitting around time to get through! My nextdoor neighbor, irl, is an artist and told me about her xanga page. I had never heard of it, but I looked it up and found out that I had to sign up in order to see her page. She had sign in lock on. So I did. It was one of the best things I ever did, because that's when I found out how a neighborhood could be right in my computer.
I made up a name (guestbrief) and signed on. The first few posts really didn't get much response but I surfed around the blogrings and groups and found a group called Heartbeat and they were doing a study on depression that just hit the spot for me. So I started to collect friends and soon I was getting a few comments and even a "rec" once in a while!! I made so many new friends it was amazing! When I was down, they encouraged me. When I was enthusiastic, they cheered with me. We were neighbors in all but locality.
Then there was a photo contest page that I enjoyed for a very long time. And there I made new friends that were into photography. I also met saintvi and old hat and attended a few of their legendary "parties"... Excellent fun when you were stuck in your room because of sickness or whatever. Two nursing babies was one of my major factors.
Those babies are now 8yo's and very active and happy. But xanga was a good friend then and still is, though I see people slipping away one by one...
I wait with curiosity and some little apprehension to see what really is going to happen at the end of the month. Will xanga 2.0 become a reality? I don't know. But I will be here, somewhere and I will be looking for all of you there and soon.

The wedding was casual, quiet and short.
