Warm wishes and God's blessings for you all.
I just received, and am breaking in, a pair of contact lenses that you wear at night and they shape your cornea so that during the day you can go without them and see!! Cool technology in these!! They remind me of a fairytale where the princess is locked up in chains at night so that by day she can have the power to fly. Yeah, going without glasses or contacts during the day and being able to see (after 30+ years of glasses) is a mythical seeming thing.... I am somewhat in a daze from walking in fairyland....
Sparkles and moonbeams on your Christmas season!!

Happy Thursday...
We spent last week on the coast at a beach house. It was the loveliest week EVER!!!! I have never had such a great time at the beach before. The house was beautiful, the weather was totally AWESOME and the sea was different every single day.
The first day we were there we found tons of these tiny little hermit crabs and took some pictures....
They were all alive and if you put them down on the sand, immediately started
digging and burrowing down. We kept them wet most of the time...
You can see the body inside the shell here, amazing creatures!
This beach was not heavy on scenic landscaping,
but the ocean view was from vista to vista.
It was so relaxing!
What a gift!!
Josh Groban -- Bells Of New York City
There's a pale winter moon in the sky coming through my window
And the park is laid out like a bed below
It's a cold, dark night and my heart melts like the snow
And the bells of New York City tell me not to go
It's always this time of year that my thoughts undo me
With the ghosts of many lifetimes all abound
But from these mad heights I can always hear the sound
Of the bells of New York City singing all around
Stay with me, stay with me
Refuge from these broken dreams
Wait right here awake with me
On silent snow filled streets
Sing to me one song for joy and one for redemption
And whatever's in between that I call mine
With the street lamp light to ILLUMINATE the gray
And the bells of New York City calling me TO stay
The bells of New York City calling me to stay
....***sigh**

Ok, I'm not used to being sick! Pregnant? yes, nursing? yes, sick for a long spell? no... So this is trying to my soul. I have been told to rest and wait, that things would resolve themselves in 4 weeks to 6 months! wow, all the things I can sit here and think of that I NEED to do, it's mind blowing! My children were already great babysitters, but I teach school, I cook, I clean, I drive... I shop... and here I sit.
I am learning more patience, I am learning great sympathy for those who have even more dire conditions than mine (or even more permanent!)... I am learning to seek Christ for directions on what to do each minute of the day, (is that really one of the prayers I prayed back when?) and I'm learning to ask in prayer for each thing/word to speak, say, or do.... it's great in some ways!
Answered prayer is pretty thorough, isn't it??
Ok, so how can I learn this lesson as quickly as possible, so I can get onto something else??
Now I have to pray for my attitude too! I'm so glad it never ends.
Lord, Your mercies and new every morning and Your longsuffering is from everlasting to everlasting... I'm so grateful! o/
My daughter's horse had his 90day evaluation yesterday....
He is part Arabian and I think he looks like the carousel horses
you see in the park!
He did pretty well, but he really loved it when he was
told to run or turn sharp,
lol he's VERY good at turning sharply!!
Daughter getting ready to try another saddle!
and just for fun....
This has been a confusing summer...
What's usually cool has been hot,
What's usually warm has been frigid indeed,
Safe havens have been dangerous dens,
My energy levels have been ridiculously low,
My freakishly low levels of fitness came up only to tear something in the process and need to rest...ugh....
degree path which looked so promising last semester suddenly hung up on me...but I'm not quitting.
That's probably the best thing you could say about me this summer...
I'm not quitting.....
happy Sunday!!

sail on a four masted sailing ship...which we found in a sailing ship festival in Bremerhaven, Germany
drive the streets of Paris... with a million other cars..on a trip to Paris, we got this shot of the busy street. Paris we did not drive in, we let the taxicab drivers do that. Still I've never been in a city where they got 5 lanes of cars side by side in a marked 3 lane road, they basically saw a hole and put the car in it!!!!!! Hair raising!!
take pictures of roses in my garden.. or in a vase on my counter, which is what this one was!
visit the chimpanzees in the zoo....and yes, I did take this picture at the Dallas zoo. I was on a tour they called the Photo Safari. They let us in an hour early and waited to feed the animals until we showed up. Then we got to go behind the bars or in a special side yard on most exhibits so we could photograph without chains in the pic. The alligators had a special platform for viewers and even that didn't feel entirely safe!
take pictures of my family!!! (If you can believe that?) This is my husband and one of my six daughters at the zoo another time.
went to a wedding...
my 6yo twins were flower girls, here they are practicing...
Went to the desert..on the road to Az and something just exactly like I grew up around.
stayed in a historic motel....
Yes, actually spent one night here and took this picture.
The sign was that colorful in real life!!
went to the mountains..(I tell you they made me do it)
lol, I love the Az mountains!!! But they were very brown this year!
and had a very brown summer!!

And when the Sun comes out,
After this Rain shall stop,
A wondrous Light will fill
Each dark, round drop;
I hope the Sun shines bright;
'Twill be a lovely sight.
It IS a lovely sound and I'm hearing it right now!
I Thank God for the lovely rain!
This was part of my own study, but you're welcome to enjoy it too.
This is the same passage as yesterday but in the Amplified version,
with the key words expanded [in the brackets] for your further study.
[Let your] love be sincere (a real thing);
hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness],
but hold fast to that which is good.
Love one another with brotherly affection [as members of one family],
giving precedence and showing honor to one another.
Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor;
be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.
Rejoice and exult in hope;
be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation;
be constant in prayer.
Contribute to the needs of God's people [sharing in the necessities of the saints];
pursue the practice of hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you [who are cruel in their attitude toward you];
bless and do not curse them.
Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others' joy],
and weep with those who weep [sharing others' grief].
Live in harmony with one another;
do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive),
but readily adjust yourself to [people, things]
and give yourselves to humble tasks.
Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits.
Repay no one evil for evil,
but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble
[aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone.
If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Blessings!!

I am staying away from xanga for a while for health reasons.
I tried to send everyone a note about what I was doing but xanga didn't send out the mass

missed you when I was doing it from memory, I'm sorry.
Keep well. Blessings!
