A friend had his wedding at the beach this weekend. The wedding was casual, quiet and short. The beach was awesome. The moon was spectacular and thoroughly worth it! Enjoy!
Ooh — that first one is a beautiful moon reflecton shot!!! And I like the beach sunset shot, too!
@slmret - Thanks, it got grainy because it was after dark and my iPhone was working hard! lol
What a beautiful setting for a wedding!
Beautiful shots the sunset shot is really nice. Didn’t know the iphone could shoot in low light like that…very nice. :)
@wematter - Thanks!! It takes a little playing with. If you touch the screen it takes a “light reading” and focuses on that spot so touching the foreground gives a different light than touching the sky. I enjoyed playing with it.
@Tempguestbrief -That’s an early time to be up when you’re on vacation! I might do that one day in a week of vacation, just to enjoy the beauty, but otherwise I’d be asleep!
@BigToePeople - That was the prettiest time of day for this beach, although the moon made sunset pretty spectacular this time. Also, the time when the fewest other people were out there. We pretty much had a huge stretch of beach all to ourselves. And vacation meant that we could take naps during the middle of the day when the beach was crawling with people, fishers, trucks…and so on.
@Tempguestbrief - Great system! I love naps on vacation. Steve and his mom are go-go-go and can’t believe you’d “waste” vacation napping when there are things to see and do. When I travel far, I check into the hotel and take a nap so that I will enjoy and remember what I see and do next. And when it’s the beach like you’re doing….NAP and read are my goals!
Phenomenal pictures of the reflection of the moon and the sunset. Tell us about that horse? It seems like it is in a quagmire of some sort.
@ZSA_MD - Thanks! The horse is just a sand art at the beach house we stayed at and I liked the light on it…
@Tempguestbrief - I wondered if it was a statue, but thought it was too detached from anything concrete to be one. Thanks for the explanation.
Those pictures are suitables for a nice wedding / Love

Oh my gosh, is that a real horse?! It doesn’t look real.
@JstNotherDay - no, it’s made of sand just to decorate the beach house. I liked it though, it was different than all the other houses!!

what a beautiful place, Rhonda.
@plantinthewindow - Yes it was, thank you John!
Very nice. I tried to take a pic of the moon, but I don’t know how to use my camera in the dark! Ugh!
Beaches are beautiful in the moon light or as the sun is setting/rising. Nice captures! Thank you for sharing.
where is there a beach?
do you call the beach at your lake?
yes, your photos are so pretty!
@Texasjillcarmel – lol, I admit the beach is hard to see in the sunrise pic…but no: we were at crystal beach, bolivar peninsula.
@Texasjillcarmel – I listened to waves all weekend but didn’t really photograph them. That is seaweed on that beach tho.
Wow, awesome shots.
beautiful
@Tempguestbrief - oh,my that’s a ways away
@BigToePeople - The sun comes up at 6:17 in June in tx, and it makes the beach sooooo pretty!!!
@LadyofWaters - Thanks!!
