  • Xanga Time Machine...thoughts (a repost from last year)

    @Saintvi started this little number and I liked the idea so......
    in light of the bad attitudes that have been going around the country this week, this is my understanding of where the "church" ought to be living as a whole.  That said, I also want to be noted as thinking that more of the people who "Seem" to be hating on others are not doing that but only doing their own thing! Which is not the best thing according to this list.  Read on....

    Be not wise in your own conceits. (other people know a thing or two, too)

    Recompense to no man evil for evil.

    Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

  • Doing the Flamenco?

    People collect all sorts of things...some more fun than others.  :)    My family has some funny quirks in collecting tastes.   It just happens that this Father's day a "collection" of flamingos turned up in our front yard!!
    My dh  has a thing about collecting rubber chickens. This is just branching out a little, lol.
    So if you come by our house, you may see some curious pink figures looking at your from our fruit orchard:

    Possibly they may be incognito.....

  • Newsflash: new motto installed, edited

    I've been  going over some stuff lately....  It's been hard and I haven't had much creative energy left for blogging.
    But just to keep some of you dear ones in the loop:  Here are my results.. if you like.


    My struggle... has been with depression, 
    disappointment with life
    (no matter how idyllic, it never turns out the way one visualizes),
    change of life and hormones (ick!)
    and with aloneness (even in the midst of many)!!


    My conclusion...
    Because God's gift of life depends solely on Himself,
    His power to redeem, His grace to forgive us, and His energy to fulfill our lives,
    I can say He is always and only Enough. And I can say that
    He will hold on to us, even when we feel like giving up. PTL


    My new motto for life...

    Micah 6:8

    Do what is right,

    Pursue kindness,

    Walk humbly with your God.

    1. I have come to realize...that my childhood did warp me....a little... :)

    3. I talk about...current flow, flux capacitors and electron charges....at the moment.
    4. My best friend...loves me with a totally Unexplainable love....and I don't understand it!
    5. My first real kiss...happened with my husband-to-be 33 years ago.
    6. I love...light shining through petals.
    7. I lost...the seafarers lottery: yep, I get sea sick! found out on my first ever cruise!! :?
    8. I hate it when people...hurt each other.
    9. Love is...real, and incomprehensibly beautiful when two people are honest with each other.
